Hurrah! The builders are here to replace the rotting decking, the painters are busily sanding the old weatherboards on the cottage...all is abuzz here at Ythanbrae!
Last week I posted my very daunting to-do list . The two items at the top were so small to type, but were by far the biggest jobs on the list. So I am absolutely beside myself that both will be done in a week or so!
AND the painting has begun on the outside! I posted here about paint samples I was thinking of. I had my heart set on a very white house but it just wasn't possible to paint over the dark blue with such a light colour. So we are now using 'baked clay' with the accent colour of 'woodland grey'. The grey actually looks quite green in this photo - it is more a dark grey. The same accent colour was used on the main homestead on Ythanbrae, so now the cottage will match.
The painter advised painting under the eaves white - which I love! A touch of white, yay!
