After the snow on the weekend I am hoping that we have seen the very back of mean old Mister Winter. A glorious Spring day is upon us here at Ythanbrae, and if you listen closely enough you can hear my lavender, irises and petunias singing in the sunshine...
My Dutch irises have not flowered in the two years we've been in the cottage. I needed the pot they were in to put my beloved hydrangeas in to take them to our new house, so Mr M replanted the dud irises in the garden, I told him don't bother, and now look at them! Magic touch.
Even Monty's favourite climbing oak tree (which his parents planted when they lived in the cottage) is starting to replenish some greenery so he can hide amongst the leaves again.
Our new house has a lovely garden...well...it used to. It is in desperate need of some TLC, once upon a time it was a lovely garden, I can see it poking out from under the jungle surface. But this will no doubt be my last post about my little garden at the cottage (we move next Friday eeeekk!!), so to see some other shots from around my garden go here.
Hope your day is sunny :)
