ythanbrae dreaming

I love Gippsland. I do. It's home to me. Always will be.

But when I saw this image, my heart yearned for the wild and magical hills of Ythanbrae. It was our home, not just my childhood home. It was something we did together. Us against the world.

Sometimes I miss that feeling.

Living on a farm always involves such an emotional attachment to the landscape.

Take care Emma.

Those hills at Ythanbrae struck more love than they realize, eh? Us too!

So true AFW, so true. The land is such an integral part of who we are.
Amy - I swear the cottage has a love potion in the spa or something hahahaha surprised I didn't get pregnant living there! I miss riding with Mr M over the top to Murrindindi and back, and working in the cottage yards even if they were falling apart and it was 42 degrees with stroppy mama cows.. It's all mud and mist down here isn't it!

yes, my dear, it is...
did I ever tell you that Nic freezebranded my back with a 4 in those cottage yards?
I also threw large things at Harry a few times there too if I recall....

Hahahah Did you miss? Damn... :p Does this mean you have a 4 on your back now? That's hilarious.
Matt actually did a lot of work to fix cottage yards up when we got to Ythanbrae, he was most miffed I said they were 'falling down', I said PRIOR to your work darling, sheesh. By the time we left there was a roof over the race and a sink and everything, faaaaaancy.
