Cinderella at Brindabella is quite the social butterfly these days. After throwing myself in the deep end of the recent Blogging Your Way e-course (run by the fabulous Holly and Leslie) my eyes have been propped wide open to the value of marketing myself through social networking.
Once upon a time this blog was known as Little Miss Emma (my kids clothing and accessories business) but overtime it has evolved into something completely different. With our move to Brindabella the focus became more about farmhouse country style, our rural lifestyle, sewing, baking, gardening and becoming the ultimate farmers wife. Some of you will be already 'like' Little Miss Emma on facebook (thank-you!) and now I'm asking you to 'like' CinderellaBrindabella too. Yep that's right, silly facebook won't let me put another two spaces and the word 'at' in my page title. I am quite sad about this so anybody who knows how to remedy - please help!!!
You can also find me tweeting my little heart out over on Twitter - I am @ellaatbella if you would like to hear my ramblings. Twitter has always confused me slightly so please bear with me as I figure out what the heck I am doing! It's lots of fun connecting with people I really admire though, it seems a lot more personal.
I am really aiming to keep my facebook, twitter and blog co-hesive yet dynamic. I don't want my twitter feeds or facebook updates to be regurgitations of blog posts. Hopefully I will give little snippets and insights which you might not get from here on the main blog site. Sound like fun?
So let me know if you tweet, facebook or use any other social media, and how you use it to the best of it's capabilities. I'm curious...

I love to hear how your blog evolved - from someone who grew up in rural areas and now lives in the city I love your country style!!
Just added you on Twitter and to my page's favourites on fb! I'm a twitter novice too - I have tweetdeck but still don't really know what I'm doing half the time!! :)
Hi Emma I've recently starting following you, thanks to BYW. I now 'like' you on FB. Good luck with juggling all the social interaction. I am hardly on FB anymore - blogging has taken over that place in my heart. J x
I have never had facebook or twitter for my blog before but I am in the process of opening an online vintage store which I will be making a new blog for. I still have not decided whether to keep my old blog as well or just have 1 for everything. But anyway, I was reading on nuffnang australia that it is a good idea to have facebook, twitter, flickr and vimeo accounts under your business name because then no one else can register those accounts in your name and it keeps your brand as yours. So I registered my blog and everything else on Monday but have yet to use them. Once I get the shop up and running hopefully all those others forms of social media will help me to promote the shop.
That sounds fantastic Kat! Look forward to your online store opening :) I think twitter and facebook would be great for your new venture, I often search for businesses like that on facebook and am disappointed they don't have a page.
Hey Emma, you socialite you! IT's funny that you mention this because I've been tossing up whether to make a facebook page for my photography business...haven't quite made up my mind about that one. I probably SHOULD twitter, so I stop talking to myself all day, but then I might never leave the computer chair... decision decisions... off to go and "like" you some more xx
@Lou - you MUST do a fb page for sunny + scout, I have been waiting for you to! Personally I think facebook is the bomb for businesses, I used to the full extent when I was fully fledged Little Miss Emma, and also for Emma Durkin Photographics. Just be careful what you put on fb with your own photos, mine all have a watermark you will see on facebook, as soon as you upload them they become fb property. I am tweeting from my phone on the couch most of the time!
