The countdown is on. If you were not aware I am a Christmas freak. There is nothing I love more than the smell of pine needles through the house, twinkling lights, wrapping presents, writing Christmas cards and telling my nieces stories about Santa and his reindeer.
One of my favourite Christmas traditions as a child was the idea of 'the coundown' and all that comes with advent. I loved helping our family parish priest light each candle on the advent wreath at church and of course I loved the chocolates that came out of my cardboard advent calendar every day until Santa arrived.
Here are some of my favourite advent calenders from etsy this year...

What's your favourite holiday tradition? Can you hear the sleigh bells yet?!! I'm thinking it may be too early to put up a Christmas tree just yet as it might die before December 25th...but maybe *gasp* I could have TWO trees?!! Yaaaay!

I think the little bags is my favourite. Every year I say to myself that I'll make an advent calender, but end up with the chocolate filled shop ones. I don't think the kids mind too much.

Ah! Thanks Emma for reminding me about advent calendars...I always mean to buy one but then I leave it too late. I'm loving the top one, think I might head over and see if they've got any left!!

I can't wait to get the house decorated this year...last year, we were traveling for most of December for our Honeymoon and didn't put up our tree. This year? I'll make up for it :)
