Gearing up for winter I am drawn to anything cable knitted and cosy looking. I saw these vases on decor8 from Ferm Living and would love to have some sitting on my desk as pencil/pen holders next to my endless stream of cups of tea. I'm pretty sure these would be easy enough to knit...*ahem*...if I knew how to knit. Oh the shame.

They are gorgeous Emma - love them and I agree would be perfect on a desk holding stationery. I laughed when I read about your endless cups of tea as that sounds exactly like me!!
Just found you via the Flickr Interior Styling.
I bet you could recreat something similar by cutting the sleeve of an old jumper from the op-shop, and stitching up the cut so it didn't fray. No knitting skills required!
