With the painters in full swing in the main open plan living area of the cottage, I have been relegated to our very cramped bedroom. My poor mac monitor is very precariously bouncing around on our bed! I am pleasantly surprised however that we have managed to fit all of our worldy possessions into half of the cottage - which is tiny! I have such a new respect for people renovating. Especially people renovating with kids. And pregnant. I know there are plenty of crazy people like this. This is driving me nuts and it is day one, only me, Matt and a confused Tessa and we're only painting, not ripping down walls or fiddling with plumbing or electricity.
The main living area of the cottage as it looks tonight after the first coat. I chose Antique White USA by Dulux - and am quite happy! The window and doors are yet to be painted, you can see the more yellow-cream that the room used to be.

It looks very light airy and spacious at the moment but it doesn't take long for the small area to fill up and seem small again! Onto the bathroom and laundry today...
